The Bank of Credit and Commerce (Bandec), was established on November 12, 1997, pursuant to the provisions of Agreement No. 3215 of the Executive Committee of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba and was granted, by Resolution No. 1 of the Central Bank of Cuba, General License to carry out all types of financial intermediation operations, in national currency and in foreign currencies, both in the national territory and abroad, in the offshore banking center, free zones and industrial parks. Bandec is enrolled in theGeneral Registry of Banks and Non-Banking Financial Institutions, with No. 14, folios 26 and 27, of December 22, 1998.
